I'm so happy to be talking to you today, and as always, so grateful that you chose to take the time out of your day to come listen to my podcast. Can't tell you how much that means to me. I'm just excited to bring you another great episode. And today we're talking about course sales in 2025, but from a place of alignment, connection, and real humanness because. Obviously the way that we sell and the way that people buy is always going to be changing. And it's important for us to always just keep on that as business owners. To firstly make sure the way that we are selling is in aligned way that feels good to us, but also that actually lands with our audience and the people. Because people are buying differently to how they were buying five years ago. And people are tired of the same kind of launch that maybe would've worked in 2000 before 2020. And I think people are craving more depth. So the noise and the information, it's becoming more and more intense and I think people are just craving more depth. They want to feel something they want to be part of something. They want to be truly seen, heard, and understood. And not just another number or another lead or another sale to close, if that makes sense. I think people are becoming way more sensitive to the kind of aggressive marketing tactics. So today I'm going to be sharing with you four ways that you can amplify your course sales in 2025 and moving forward, without pushing harder and without losing yourself in the process. And in a way that feels a little bit more gentler. Or a new way of thinking of something that maybe could be more aligned. Now, before I dive in, I wanted to I invite you to my new masterclass, which I'm going to be doing. It's happening on the 23rd of April. Let's see. Let me double check that. Yeah. 23rd of April and I'm going to be doing it at 9:00 PM. Western European time. To try help accommodate my US people. Because I know the time zones are wild. I'm now living in Lisbon. And it's called from Classes to Cash Flow and it's really about helping educators and teaching business owners package their knowledge into a scalable offer and launching it online and filling it with students. And it's still work that I always do. It's what I'm known to do. And so I would love to invite you to that. It's going to be free. I'm doing a little bit differently this time. I'm going to be doing it in a actual zoom meeting where we're going to be face-to-face together. And so I'm really looking forward to seeing faces and chatting with people and stuff. And normally I wouldn't do that. It would be a webinar style where you can only speak in the comments and things. But I want to try something new, and I'm excited to just have a bit more of a deeper experience as well myself. And there are only a hundred spots because of this new way I'm doing it. There's just a hundred spots in that room. And so, yeah, I would love to invite you to that. It's going to be very activating, very inspiring, activating, and I think it could really put you on a whole different trajectory in terms of the way you educate and earn. Because I know that's what it has done for me. The stuff that I'm bringing to you and that I'll be teaching has really changed my life. So really excited to bring that to you next week. If you want to join, just click the link under the show notes or message me on Instagram if you can't find it. Or email me and I'll send you the link. Alrighty. So let's dive in on four ways to amplify your course sales. So whether you haven't sold a course yet and you plan on selling a course, or whether you have got a course that you've tried selling, I think this is going to be relevant for you. I think you should listen to this. And whatever part of the journey you're at, you should be applying some of this into it. Okay? So number one, is to bring more connection points into your sales process. So whatever way you are selling your course, which is probably some type of launch event. Is to build in more connection points into that event. Because right now your audience is likely craving realness. They want to feel seen and safe before they buy. And impulse buys out of fear that might've been a thing in the past is not really a thing now. People are taking a lot more time to contemplate and decide whether this is truly a purchase that they want. And so that means we're moving away from the robotic launches where there's maybe a lot of automation in it and you're barely even showing up live to, making your launch feel more human and more connected. So what that looks like is you could go live more often, just even five minutes. In whatever way, if you've got a Facebook community or you Instagram community or whatever community is just showing up live and connecting there, you can use voice notes and video replies in your dms. I would say voice notes are probably fine. You could host intimate Q&A's and popups on zoom as well. I've been seeing this quite often. Just hosting an intimate group on Zoom and doing a little brainstorm session or some sort of thing that gives them value. They can ask you questions and stuff like that. But they're really speaking directly to you. They don't feel like sort of part of this audience and you're the separate thing. You're with them. I think that's quite impactful and really just showing your face and let them know that you are listening to them and wanting to serve them. This just came naturally to me, but in the beginning, every single person who would join my Facebook group or my event, and if they introduced themselves, I would go and individually reply to every single person. Obviously it took a lot of time because I got a lot of people into those events. But really personalizing an experience and making people feel seen, I think is going to go a long way. So if you've got an event where people are engaging, make sure that you are really taking the time to acknowledge them and even if it's just in the comments of a webinar that you're doing, is really just giving them that time. I think that's just normal. It comes naturally to me, but I think people are really resisting going live and showing their face a lot now. And it's like, well, how are people going to feel safe to buy with you if you don't even show your face? Let people know that you're a real human who has skills and that can help them and really just connect with people. That's important. The second thing is you want to amplify your own energy for your work and your offering. Energy is really, really important. You, the way you show up for your offer and for your business and the work that you do in the world makes a massive difference. Energy is the thing that would be the thing that would make one person magnetic and the other person not making sales. Really, really, really energy drives it. So when I talk about energy, I'm talking about who you are being as you're showing up. So it comes from an identity point of view and how lit up you are about the work that you do. And how much conviction you have around the work that you do. So if you're showing up not really sure of yourself and not maybe that inspired about your work, then people aren't going to feel that and they're not going to be magnetized. Whereas if you show up with excitement, with conviction, with, oh my gosh, this is life changing. This is amazing. I'm so passionate about doing this work, and you've got true belief in your offering, and you really lean into that, like in how you show up. And you really lean into the transformation you're offering people. And it's not like a push energy, it's more like a, oh my gosh, this is amazing and you would be lucky to be a part of this experience kind of energy. It's where you're basically radiating belief. And when you are in that space it's very magnetic. So you really want to speak from that place because people can feel it. So if you're struggling with cultivating that energy. Go and spend some time with your offer. Go and dive deep into the work that you're doing. Go look at past testimonials and go remind yourself of how impactful and transformational your work is. And remind yourself that, and then lead with that energy, because I think that is very, very contagious. And show up madly excited about what you're doing because people want to be a part of that excitement. Just from your energy, you're going to be cultivating that. So definitely work on the energy of how you're showing up, the belief in your work, your conviction, all of that. Because your audience and people can feel it. And honestly, people can feel your energy before they even listen to your words. So really leading with that is going to make a difference. And then the third thing is to lean into your story more deeply, into your work. Now that's always been a thing. But I think now more than ever, it's becoming a much bigger thing. Even if you look on Instagram and how content is changing, people are using storytelling more than information. So we were living in this information age where information was the value, right? But since AI has come into the game, we have endless information. We have literally all the information we need at our fingertips. We do not need more information. So to shift with this time, we are actually needing more connection and storytelling in our work because people are going to be buying the offer from the person that they're seeing themselves in, relating to, aspiring to. Not because of information. They're not going to buy the offer because you've got all the information, right? They're going to buy the offer because of who you are, your identity, your values. The life that you're living, literally all of that. And of course you being an expert in what you teach. Of course. But it's not like we need more information. So, leading with your story is really key and pulling your story into your content, into your messaging. Instead of saying, for example, this course will help you build your email list. You would then say, I had 37 people on my email list when I learned launch my first course, and I made X amount. And that's the power of connection over numbers. And I'm going to show you how I did this. So you see one is just saying straight up information. And the other one is literally sharing your story and showing this amazing transformation in your story. And people want to hear your story. They want to see how you've applied the thing and how it's been impactful for you. And people want to see who you are as a person. So really building that into your content and your messaging is going to be really important. Because people aren't going to be buying information. So if you're going to have a launch event and you're going to just teach for an hour straight. Throwing out language concepts at people and all this stuff, you're just going to overwhelm people because that's not really why people are buying at anymore. Because why do we need to buy information. We have all of it. So you really want to lean into your story and what makes your story relevant to your audience and you want to inspire them with who you are. Activate them to become the next version of themselves. There's so much more that people are wanting instead of just information. So just weave that in and lead with your story and build that into your offers, into your sales process, into your content and things like that. And number four is using identity marketing more so than manipulation style marketing. Which is very much the bro marketing strategies that we've been taught for years now. So this is one of the most powerful ways, I think in 2025 things are changing in the marketing space is selling through identity rather than fear. So a lot of marketing relies on pressure, urgency, fomo, creating anxiety to trigger a decision. A lot of the standard marketing strategies from the past are coming from that energy. So it's a bit more of a manipulation. And while it can work and has worked for many years, it can often lead to misaligned clients, buyer's remorse, and obviously it's giving people the ick. People are becoming more sensitive to it, people are becoming more aware of it. So you can't be leading people with that kind of market anymore because we have all been just becoming smarter people. And so what works better now in 2025 and moving forward is identity marketing. So this means speaking directly to who your audience is aspiring to become. Because we're all aspiring to become something on an identity level or to achieve something or to do something. Maybe it's a smoker who wants to aspire to be a non-smoker or someone who's not very fit, who aspires to being someone who is very fit and health conscious and has a beautiful body. And all of the things. So you can speak to that aspiration and position your offer as a bridge between who they are now and who they want to become, right? Using your story, your values and transformation to build trust and residence, and then giving them a clear reason to move, not from pressure, but some ethical urgency.
A messaging example would be like this:this offer expires at midnight and if you don't buy now, you're missing out. So that's from a fear-based space. Shifting that to saying, this is for the person who knows that they're meant for more and is ready to take the first step toward building a business that reflects her worth. And the bonus ends at midnight because I want to honour your momentum or something like that. So do you see the difference? One pokes at fear and the other one sort of activates at an identity level. So in 2025, people don't want to be mad pressured. They want to feel seen, understood, and given a safe space to make a buying decision. So you want to have this feeling of joining your program is a decision that reflects the future that they are stepping into the person that they are becoming on an identity level. And when you can market from that. Space with heart and in an aligned way, then you're going to attract much more aligned students or clients and not students or clients who are investing from a space of fear. And that, I think is going to be the biggest one, right? I think it's going to become much more common to sell using identity marketing principles rather than the manipulation type stuff from the bro marketing days. So, that's it. Those are the four things. I hope this was interesting to you. Go and apply some of these things. I'm sure it's going to amplify your sales in 2025. And if you don't want to shift in the way you're doing things, then you're likely going to see a dip in sales or you have to evolve with the market and this is where people are going. This is how people are buying. All right. Again, I'd love to invite you to my upcoming Masterclass.
