This might be a controversial one, but I’m saying it anyway.

  • Wealth is spiritual.
  • Making money is spiritual.

And being paid well for your work is not only allowed, it is necessary if you want to thrive and make a real impact.

In this episode, I am getting honest about the toxic beliefs that keep so many women, especially in the spiritual and coaching worlds, stuck in scarcity. We’ll explore why giving your work away for free is not noble, why money is a sacred energy exchange, and how being resourced actually helps you serve more, give more, and live in alignment with your highest self.

If you’ve ever felt guilty for wanting to make more, or if you’ve questioned whether it’s spiritual to charge for your gifts then this conversation will crack something open inside you.

And today's episode it might, it just might ruffle a couple of feathers, but you know what, I'm okay with that because this message needs to come through and it's been something that's on my mind and something that I've been thinking about a lot lately and I'm about to say something that is quite bold and it might be something that goes against a lot of people, in particularly in the spiritual world believe. And this is it. This is the message that I want to share. I believe that wealth is spiritual. Making money is a beautiful thing and being paid well for your gift. Is one of the most powerful soul aligned things that you can experience whilst you are living on earth. And yes, I'm going to die on this hill. This is a belief that I really, truly, wholeheartedly believe in. This is not a hard take. This is a core belief in how I live, how I coach, how I lead women business. And so if you are open to being challenged. In the best way possible. Then listen to this episode. It might challenge your perception on money, and that's not a bad thing. I think it's really important that if we are building businesses, we are shifting our relationship with money. Because if we don't do that, if we don't shift our relationship with money, if we don't change the story we have about money, if we don't view money in a different light. Then it's going to be very difficult for us to monetize our gifts and grow our business because we are going to be going against core deep subconscious beliefs that money is not safe. If you have money, you're greedy. Charging for your work is selfish. There are so many very, very unhelpful, disempowering beliefs that we have been taught. Throughout our lives that are not serving us in our business, are not helping us play bigger and make the money we want. And it's the work that needs to be done. If you are growing a business, if you are seriously wanting to create an abundant, profitable business, this is the work that needs to be done. So there's definitely a belief floating around in the spiritual healing communities. Not everyone believes this, but a big portion of people will believe this, that it is unspiritual to be wealthy and that you should charge the bare minimum for your work, your gifts, and that it's greedy to one to more than just enough. And that if you are truly a heart led person, you should do your work out of love and never for money. And I think this is nonsense. I'm not saying you should not do your work out of love. I honestly think you should do your work out of love. It should be soul aligned. It should light you up. It should make you so happy. But I believe that money is a beautiful byproduct of doing that work and the reality is we live in a world that needs money to survive. So how can we do our most magical life's work that we feel called to do? If we are not earning for it, we will not be able to do that work. We will not be able to survive. We will have to go back to corporate. We will have to do whatever the things we need to do, your teaching, job, whatever it may be. That isn't what your soul wants because you need money. I really believe that what is more spiritual than sharing your work with the world and helping others transform and receiving money and energy, which is energy in return. Because money is energy and that power, that energy, that money has. When it's held and given to women with good hearts, pure intentions, with a desire to really impact and change the world, then I believe that changes the world. So I believe that money should go into the hands of more in incredible badass women who are wanting to make the world a better pay place, who are wanting to create an impact. And when they make more money, the world benefits from that. There's a ripple of transformation that happens that truly benefits the collective, not just you, but the collective. So let's talk about what money really is. It's not dirty, it's not evil, and it's not corrupt by nature. Money is neutral as anything. It is neutral energy. Having more money does not make you a bad person. Money simply amplifies who you already are. So if you're a bad person already, you just have no morals, you don't care about people, or you do bad things. If you make a lot of money, you're going to just become more of that. But if you are a good person, you have morals, you care about people, you care about the world, you care about making impacts on people. If you make more money, that will just amplify who you already are. So you having more money does not make you a bad person. It makes you more of who you are, which is beautiful. It allows you to become more of who you are, gives you options. And when building businesses, all business really is is you offering a product or a service in exchange for money. That in itself is down to the fundamental of what a business is. It's you doing something in exchange for energy and return. And that energy comes in the form of money in the world we currently live in. So you giving your time, your wisdom, your coaching, your healing, whatever it is that you're doing, you changing lives, you creating transformations, creating products, creating art, whatever it is that you're doing, when you put that out into the world. That is your energy being put out into the world, and money is the energy that should come back to you for it. And that when you put out something energetically into the world and energy comes back to you, is a healthy balance dynamic. Let's flip that script. If you give, give, give, create, create, create, serve, impact, and do all these things for other people. And you don't get anything back, or you get very little back and that keeps happening over and over again. That isn't a holy thing. That is not a noble thing that is self abandonment. It is actually self-harming. Because that's where resentment builds low key resentment will build there, and it's not sustainable. It is so much of a sabotage. That you won't be able to sustain the work that you're doing, and you will have to go and find a job doing something that isn't the work that you want to do, and then you're not going to have that impact. So just imagine you're a coach and you have this amazing method that you can help women, do something like heal their burnout or something. And you've helped so many people do this, but you're not charging well for it. So you're not making the money you need to continue doing it, and then you have to stop doing it. You have to go to a job that drains your soul, and then those women that would've been impacted by you will no longer be impacted by you because you've stopped. Collectively, that is a negative thing. It brings the energy down. You're no longer impacting people. And it's not a spiritual thing to abandon yourself and charge almost nothing for your work. It's not a noble thing, in my opinion. I don't see that as a good thing. I see that as someone who does that needs to do the money work, they need to shift their relationship to money. They need to create safety around money. They need to regulate their nervous system around more money and creating and holding more wealth because. I don't find anything spiritual about being burnt out, overworked and resentful because you are too scared to charge for your work, and that is maybe very triggering, but ultimately that is how I feel. For me when I see that, I'm like, you need to work on your money stuff. There is a lot of stuff that needs to be worked on there. Because we live in a world where money is the resource to survive. It pays for food, shelter, healthcare, education. It gives us structure, it gives us stability. And when you have that structure. When you have that stability as a woman in business, that's going to allow you to relax into your feminine and be in your creative, be in that magnetic energy, be in your intuitive energy. You cannot access that and be in that state if you don't have any security. Money is security. It will allow you the container and the safety to really be who you want to be in your business and who you want to show up as in the world. Without money your nervous system is dysregulated and you're in constant survival mode, and you cannot create from that space. And you cannot help others when you are drowning. So, no, it's not more spiritual to be just above broke. And it's not more enlightened to charge very little for your work. It doesn't make you a better person than the person who's charging well for their work. When women are resourced, they can change the world. They are just superheroes. But when they're not that impact, there isn't as much of it. And when women are resourced, we can rise together and we can lift the entire community with us. So just imagine what happens when you are fully supported. You've got enough money, you don't need to struggle and constantly be looking for money. You can donate that money. You can hire other women that are incredible pay them. You can create jobs, you can invest in art and businesses in children, like you can do so much. When you can create money, that money can then move through you and it can go into someone else's world. And this is the beautiful thing about this energy exchange. And for me, I think that is beautiful and spiritual in itself. So this is what I believe to be true. There is more than enough abundance for us all. There is enough money for us all and it is our birthright to receive. No one came to this planet just to scrape by and to feel guilty for living a happy, good, safe life. When you are resourced, you become a powerful vessel. You amplify your work and you can serve people from a place of overflow, and you can change the world. You can really have a huge impact. That ripple of impact can be so far reaching, and that is what I want for amazing women in business. It's what I want for everyone actually, if I could wish for it. It's not this thing of we're only doing the work for the money. That's not what I'm saying. I'm not saying just do the work for the money and manipulate and cheat. That's not what I'm saying. Do the work that you love, that lights your soul on fire and charge well for it. Don't give it away for free. Don't barter it. Don't discount it. Really honour that your work is valuable and make sure that there is a very healthy, energetic exchange where you're giving and receiving. So that's my hot take, and I know this might be somewhat challenging to some of you, and that's okay. I'm not here to convince you, I'm just here to invite you into a new possibility, a version of your business and your life where you shift that story around money and you. Create a new story, a more empowering story where you can be paid well, where you can thrive, where you can have financial stability and spirituality. And you don't have to choose one or the other. I don't have to be a spiritual person, but a broke person. I don't have to have money but not be spiritual. I really do feel that you can have them both. You can be a spiritual person. And you can have money. And that is how I want to live my life. That's what lights me up. I want to create me meaning and purpose and be connected to the world. And I'm not super interested in material things. I'm not the kind of person who's going to go and buy shoes and bags and clothes, it's just not me. I'm the kind of person who's going to dance under the moonlight in my bare feet and sit around a fire and sing songs. That for me is what lights me up. But also, I love doing work that is impactful and I love to earn from that. And that doesn't make me a bad person. And I love living in a nice house, and I like having nice organic food and I want to have a beautiful big pool. There's so many things that I want that doesn't make me a bad person for wanting it. It's just I want to live in abundance and that's my path. And that is okay. It's okay to want these things and to desire these things. And to have money. So I'm going to leave you with a mantra. It is safe for me to make good money. It is safe for me to receive money for my work. It is safe for me to be rich. What a nice one to say. It is safe for me to be rich. Now I'd love to hear what you think. Do you agree? Do you disagree? Come share with me on Instagram or on Substack, or just send me an email, and I'm always happy to hear other people's perspectives.
